Dear friends of Soliswiss,
we are very pleased to invite you to the Annual General Meeting 2020. After weighing up the pros and cons, we have decided that we will hold our AGM (almost) as usual, if the situation allows it. We do not want to miss the opportunity to meet our members in person again.
And yet it will not be a normal AGM. Of course we have also drawn up a set of safety guidelines. In order to keep the number of persons low, only some members of the board will be present. We also point out that you can have yourself represented at the meeting.
We had originally planned for more agenda items, but we have now limited the AGM’s focus on what is necessary. Will we not be proposing any major changes, either. As announced last year, we will elect a new board of directors. It did not seem to us the time to adjust the composition of the board, so we are proposing only members of the board of directors, who are already in office, for election. We will propose that the auditors be re-appointed. We have postponed discussions about possible changes to the statutes or adjustments to membership fees until 2021.
In addition to the agenda, we will provide you in advance with the annual report and the annual financial statements with the auditors’ report in German and French. In this way you can form an opinion before the meeting or instruct your representative on how to vote. Please contact us if you wish to receive the documents in advance by e-mail.
As you can see from the annual report and the annual financial statements, 2019 was an eventful year. Numerous adjustments were made to get the finances under control. Thanks to the favorable situation at the stock market, this was achieved for 2019. The Soliswiss Cooperative and Soliswiss AG both made a profit. We are very pleased about this. But unfortunately, this is not a reason to sit back and relax, there is still an imbalance between income and expenditure. Trusting in the stock market alone is not a viable strategy. The topic of finance will continue to occupy us.
We are pleased that our website is attracting more and more visitors, that we are gaining a new member almost every day, that our expertise is constantly growing, that we are able to enter into exciting new partnerships with institutions, and that the circle of renowned partners is continually growing as a result.
We are delighted that we were able to be there for you in 2019. You can also count on us in 2020.
