A modern fairy tale book
Barbara meets the snowflake in her parents’ wintery snowy garden. The two get into conversation and from then on they meet daily until the snowflake melts away in spring. Barbara wants to hear a new story from the snowflake at every meeting about what this enchanted fairy has seen and experienced all over the world. The snowflake consciously deals with Barbara’s everyday life and helps her to look at everyday things in a new way.

Idea of the book:
The stories in the book are intended to revive the idea of fairy-tale narratives – on a new and more contemporary basis – in contrast to the classic fairy tales.
The stories told by the snowflake and independent of each other should promote mutual understanding between children and adults and/or between people with different values and views. The stories serve as a basis for discussing the topics that follow, with heroes and villains being replaced by real-life characters and situations. In this way, adults are also allowed to enter a fairytale world and see things from a different perspective, swap roles and perhaps find solutions to current challenges.
The following topics are covered in the book:
– People’s values and impressions
– (Monetary) greed of man
– Caring for the environment
– Uncontrolled research
– Change of the environment by man
– Pressure to perform in society
– Poverty and joy in life
– Stupidity and insight
– Helpfulness wrapped in a Christmas story
– Family fate and new awakening to life
– Courage and self-confidence
